The Momo Prize

The Momo Prize was established to increase recognition of the work of artists. The prize seeks to advance the careers of artists by providing unrestricted financial support in the form of grants to individual artists.

The program is committed to supporting artists from diverse cultural backgrounds at all stages of their professional careers. The prize views the artistic field broadest and most inclusive sense, thereby makes awards available to artists engaged in artistic practice spanning all methods of production. Applications are encouraged from painters, photographers, sculptors, digital artists, performance artists, experimental genres, filmmakers, and printmakers, musicians and composers. Unrestricted grants of $1,000 will be awarded to ten artists (five in the spring, five in the fall).
In addition to the grant recipients, the Momo Prize curators select a short list of sixty artists annually (thirty in spring and thirty in fall) to have their work archived alongside grant winners. These elevated portfolio presentations function as a growing resource for curators, gallery owners, collectors, and arts enthusiasts.
Eligible applicants include any artist over the age of 18, and the program is open to collaborative teams.
